The Deep State, FEMA, and the West Wind

Lord, help us to pray effectively about the deep state’s discrimination and political persecutions.
We have met the deep state.And it is FEMA.And the CIA.And the FBI.And the DOJ.And— most likely — every alphabet of the unelected, accountable-to-nobody federal bureaucracy. This weekend’s news — that a FEMA official (now fired) had instructed relief workers aiding Florida Hurricane victims to skip houses that displayed Trump signs — is only the latest manifestation of a disturbing persecution that — it seems — stems from the New Deal.
Since Joyce posted the article, the FEMA official has made it clear that the discrimination went far beyond her own orders.

Lord, anoint us to use this season of political transition to speak truth boldly — and in love — to those who have been thrown by election results.
We just voted ourselves permission to talk about why more than 70% of people in exit polls said they were “dissatisfied” or “angry” with “the way things are going in the country today." Let’s seek wisdom from Holy Spirit and the Word of God to respond with respect to those who are “satisfied” or “enthusiastic” about where we’ve been heading.
