Intercessors for America has been praying through Coach Joe Kennedy’s story since 2018. Average Joe, a new film opening nationwide tonight, tells the story of how his public school district fired him for praying at the 50-yard line after every football game he coached, win or lose, and how he brought his case to the Supreme Court.
In Give Him 15 yesterday Dutch Sheets shared his “personal Thanksgiving” message, which he shared at the 50th anniversary of Intercessors for America. Before lunch that day I’d shared a monologue as Rees Howells in the Blue Room of the Bible College of Wales, and after lunch Dutch shared this message with a long illustration from the life of Rees Howells, focused on Him spending time in prayer with his students and faculty in the Blue Room.
A few months later I met Dutch at the National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance and told him I’d performed the monologue that day. He told me as he was preparing he just kept hearing, “Rees. Rees.”
While we were in Wales last month we filmed the monologue in the actual Blue Room! I’m juggling a number of deadlines, but when we finish editing it we’ll announce it via email: www.RichDrama.com/blog/post/Updates
