Today is the Anniversary of Its Signing
On September 3, 1783, the Treaty of Paris was signed, ending our eight year War of Independence, and making us a sovereign nation in the eyes of the world.
To celebrate, I played Thomas Jefferson, who ... nearly signed the treaty, in an interview with Rev. Dr. Jim Garlow on World Prayer Network:
There are more anniversaries to come in this 250th year of our independence:
September 17, 1787
Signing of the U.S. Constitution
(Rev. Dr. John Witherspoon helped ratify it)
[I'll be performing live that day, but we can possibly work out a screening]
December 16, 1773
The Boston Tea Party
(Rev. John Bacon invited the Sons of Liberty into Old South Meeting House to plan it)
January 14, 1784
The Ratification of the Treaty of Paris
(Thomas Jefferson signed it ... almost)
June 21, 1788
the Ratification of the U.S. Constitution
(Rev. Dr. John Witherspoon helped ratify it)
Consider bringing a founding father to your community... or webcast.
