We had such a wonderful week with these amazing people at the Rocky Mountain Christian Filmmakers Camp! We completed the short film "Milk and Oranges" based on a true story told by Nathan Ashton, who shares seven film credits with me.

This year at the Rocky Mountain Christian Filmmakers Camp we produced a short film, "Felicia's Pledge," which follows another character from the novel In His Steps. I got to reprise my role of John Gray and Ken Lawrence, the director of Film Camp, reprised his role as Pastor Henry Maxwell from the film  In His Steps. The rest of the roles were played by our students.

Because Morgan Willer didn't have any lines for her role I challenged her to write and perform a monologue as her character as a part of her preparation process:

I got to coach the actors in this student film for the  Rocky Mountain Christian Filmmakers Camp. What a thrill to be a part of John Fornof's first foray into film acting! He's an incredibly accomplished audio drama director, and he "paid" for his acting lessons and coaching by providing a voice acting workshop and coaching each actor for the voice over work on " The Dinner."

A note from 2017: Rebekah Stought was the film student who directed John in this production, and this year John directed Rebekah in "The Giant Killer" in Lamplighter Theatre's professional production.

Joyce opens the service with prayer.  Dr. Linda Warren teaches on Exodus 20:1-3, also addressing  Joshua 24:14-28.  Pastor Jim Warren prayed over the teaching.

Here is a short film I wrote to illustrate this teaching. It was produced by the students of the Rocky Mountain Christian Filmmakers Camp, where I taught and coached the actors.

I was introduced to Rabi Maharaj, who used to be worshiped as a guru. Eventually he became disillusioned and gave his life to Jesus Christ. In his book Death of a Guru, Maharaj defines yoga:

Literally "yoking," it refers to union with Brahman... If one desires to achieve physical fitness only, exercises designed for that specific purpose ought rather to be chosen. No part of yoga can be separated from the philosophy behind it.

In the documentary Gods of the New Age, Maharaj says, "There is no Hinduism without yoga and there is no yoga without Hinduism."


Here’s a strong caution against yoga from someone who was raised as a “radical Buddhist”: "Holy Yoga and Christian Yoga?"
