I've written about how reading the the entire Bible every year is my favorite spiritual discipline, and it gets more so, the further our culture drifts from biblical literacy. I'm using YouVersion to read the passages to me on days I don't have time to sit down and read it all. You're welcome to join me. I'll be performing "Something Leaps Inside Us All" for our January 3 service, which can be seen live and over Zoom.

I portray Zechariah telling the story of Gabriel foretelling the birth of their son, who would become John the Baptist. 

Pastor Randy Solomon picked that passage of Scripture (Luke 1:5-24) for that service without knowing I'd been invited to perform that drama!

I was going to have to give up my spot because I was going to be traveling, but we switched my flight, and I'm so glad I was able to do it! Ironically I ended up praying for New York from Colorado, but I've lived in New York City since 1993, so I prayed with authority. 

The prayer call wrapped up a three-day Worldwide Fast for revival across America and around the world, spearheaded by a young woman named Abby Wallner.

Next Sunday I'll be performing "Something Leaps Inside Us All" at Medford Friends Church in Southern Oregon at 10:00 a.m. Pacific. 

It will be live streamed and available through Epiphany.
