Joyce and I both had articles run today on www.HeadlinePrayer.org, and we didn't plan this balance, but mine is "A Nation Divided by Movies," and Joyce's is "How Unity Leads to Effective Prayer." 


I'll start by addressing division:


Lord, as our culture becomes more divided, inspire Christian filmmakers to help unite us on Christ and your Word.


Films shape culture. As our nation becomes more divided, cinema is leading people away from each other, but because it’s such a powerful art form, there’s great potential for Christian filmmakers to bring people into the Kingdom and center them on the right things.

Lord, activate prayer by Your Holy Spirit so unity in Christ is achieved on earth, even as it is in heaven.

Some years ago, I received a phone call at a dreaded hour — past midnight — from my pastor. A young teen in our church had been jumped as he was exiting a pizza shop in the Bronx. The young man sustained serious stab wounds and was being rushed into the operating room.

Lord, convict us of self-focus causing us to be sensitive to offense. Bind the spirit of offense away from us. In Jesus’ name. 

IFA: 
This article addresses one of the barriers to revival in us and in our communities. It also addresses one of the forces that quenches revival. 
When I was a young believer, I heard a noted preacher talk honestly to his congregation. “You are overly sensitive and hurt by so many things because you are focused on yourself” was the essence of his message. “Grow up!” might have been my exhortation.

Pray the article leads many closer to the Lord and removes barricades to revival spreading.

Lord, thank you for Kirk Cameron and his boldness to bring Your love and witness to America through these library readings. Multiply his efforts to embolden the millions who desire America to return to You.

An overflow crowd showed up for Kirk Cameron’s reading of his children’s book As You Grow at the Scarsdale (NY) public library on Friday, Dec. 30. Other public libraries had refused to allow Cameron to read his book.

In Scarsdale more than 400 people were turned away, although Cameron and a team of staffers from publisher Brave Books held two sessions of 170 people each in the room they had rented.

We had such a wonderful week with these amazing people at the Rocky Mountain Christian Filmmakers Camp! We completed the short film "Milk and Oranges" based on a true story told by Nathan Ashton, who shares seven film credits with me.

I just did ADR (additional digital recording) for the film Rather to Be Chosen, in which Joyce and I play the parents of the protagonist.

To celebrate one step closer to the film's release I'm posting this video we put together of the transitional shave. Just before filming in the spring I still had my beard from The Unexpected Bar Mitzvah, in which Joyce and I played a nice Jewish couple whose 12-year-old introduces us to Y'shua.
