On Saturday I debuted a new script as John the Revelator, interrupting Pastor Jim Warren's sermon on Revelation 20:7-10:

The prevailing theology of our founders assumed that we would reign with Christ for a thousand years, so they lived like it, throwing off a tyrannical king and using the Bible as the primary textbook in their schools. Let’s stop wishing Christ would return at any second and live for Him in such a time as this!

That's a part of Westchester Chapel's series on The Revelation. 

In other news, I served as a theatre captain when Beyond the Mask came out in theaters in 2015. I got behind the film because I played the good doctor in it, and because it was excellent on so many levels! 

That same team has just produced a film about Jimmy Stewart, and it’s coming to a theater near you on November 6.

They asked me to step back into service and get the word out. I haven’t seen it yet, but it looks great, and I trust this team. 

The director, Aaron Burns — I’ve taught with him at the Lamplighter Guild and Content19 Film Festival and Media Summit — said: 

Before creating JIMMY, I had no idea that Jimmy Stewart was a man of deep Christian faith, and a patriotic American who served as a bomber pilot and squadron commander in WWII. He came home from the war broken by PTSD…and eventually found his spiritual healing through prayer on the set of It’s A Wonderful Life.

That film is one of my favorites, and I’ve long known how Stewart initially turned down the role of George Bailey because he felt so broken, and that much of his passion in the film comes from the emotional wounding he experienced in war. I’m really looking forward to seeing more of the details. They brought Stewart’s daughter Kelly on as an executive producer, so I know they’re committed to telling the true story. 

Here’s a synopsis: 

From winning the Academy Award® for The Philadelphia Story to enlisting and becoming a combat pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, Jimmy flew 20 missions over Europe and rose to the rank of colonel. He returned home forever changed, until It’s a Wonderful Life helped him find his way home.

Get this: Karolyn Grimes, who has a cameo in the film, appeared as Zuzu Bailey at the age of six in It's a Wonderful Life (1946), starring the real Jimmy Stewart.

Rated PG-13 for some war violence/bloody images, thematic elements and smoking.

Break the Curses

In the wee hours of Thursday I awoke with a sense that I should write an article for Intercessors for America encouraging prayer to close any portals opened by the celebration of evil on Halloween that might affect our midterms. I'm sure one thing that inspired the thought was this video our editor sent:

In the morning, I reached out to our editorial team to pitch the idea. Turns out, one of our colleagues was already writing about it, and I was shocked that spells are actually being cast:


"Witches are Casting a New Spell for the Election – Prayer Warriors, It’s Time to Do Battle"


Lord Jesus, there are witches and pagans who are actively working with the dark realm to influence the midterm elections. We pray for any spells or rituals to be halted in Your mighty name. Give Your angels charge over our election workers and over our election process. Place Your mighty hand of protection over our nation and over our citizens.

Halloween is upon us, but there’s much more happening than just trick-or-treating and shouting “Boo!” With an election just days away on November 3, 2026, witches and warlocks have been very busy. Halloween is the highest day on the Satanic calendar, and it’s a time when demonic portals are active. Witches and pagans are lighting their candles, casting their spells, and uniting with the dark realm in order to, in their words, “Stop the corrupt, fascist government of Donald Trump and all of his enablers by taking back our government!”

I made a couple of suggestions our friend used in the article, but mostly I think it was encouraging that the Holy Spirit was confirming He wants these spells broken!

I've known about Hollywood Prayer Network since it started 25 years ago, and I accidentally spoke with Karen Covell, the founder, sometime before April 11, 2003. I know this, because I was trying to call David Schall, who co-founded Actor's Co-op, Inter-Mission, and Act One: Writing for Hollywood. David had started New York City chapters of Inter-Mission and Actor's Co-op. He also facilitated a few Act One workshops in NYC. 

I can't recall why I was calling for him at the LA office of Actor's Co-op, but Karen answered the phone. I found out last night that HPN still has their office on the Hollywood Presbyterian campus that still hosts Actor's Co-op and Inter-Mission. I'd performed with five members of Actor's Co-op in Judah Ben Hur, a musical in Singapore from October 2001 to February 2002, so I'd heard wonderful things about Karen and Hollywood Prayer Network, which had just gotten started. When she told me who she was I told her all the wonderful things I'd heard, and I'm sure we chatted for more than half an hour... accidentally. I came away refreshed and encouraged, and I'm pretty sure we closed by praying for each other! 

I know that happened before April 11, 2003, because that's the day David Schall died of a massive heart attack, having just pulled into the parking lot of Actor's Co-op to perform in the opening night of Uncle Vanya. 

After that, the NYC chapters of Inter-Mission and Actor's Co-op quickly disbanded. 

I was so blessed to share that story at Hollywood Prayer Network's 25th Anniversary Gala last night at the Hephzibah House and to share how wonderful it's been that their NYC chapter is off to a roaring start, with prayer at the heart! 

I was also invited to lead in prayer, and this is a recording of that prayer:

I was extraordinarily blessed to portray Thomas Jefferson in Las Vegas for America’s 250th “Shining City on a Hill” Celebration with Orlando “El Duque” Hernández (@orlandoelduque), Larry Elder of the @larryeldershow , and other luminaries. 

Myrka Dellanos , an Emmy Award-winning journalist, interviewed El Duque in Spanish and shared his answers in English. He shared how Cuba canceled his baseball career when his brother defected to the U.S. After eight attempts to escape communism, El Duque made it here in 1997 and started playing for the New York Yankees the next year. He helped them win three consecutive World Series (1998, 1999, and 2000) and then helped the Chicago White Sox win one in 2005. He said of all the pennants he’s won, the greatest is freedom! He also said a motto in Cuba is “La patria o la muerte,” “The country or death.” They mean it quite literally! When we were in Cuba in 2016, shortly after Fidel Castro died, there was a prohibition on parties, lest anyone think people were celebrating his death. We heard about a birthday party that was interrupted. The revelers were taken into the back yard and shot. El Duque said in America it is — and he hopes one day in Cuba it shall be — “La patria y la vida,” “The country and life!”

After the interview a young man told me his grandfather escaped Cuba. The young man said communism is terrible and added a hearty thumbs down. 

I got to tell Larry Elder back stage how I was cheering him on when he ran for Governor of California against Gavin Newsome. He told me they were terrified he was going to win and outspent him 10 to 1. 

On stage, he spoke about growing up poor and how he was able to rise in America in ways you just can’t under Marxism. 


All three groups are encouraging people to make the most of their lives in a democracy. Ms. Dellanos said Marxists lie. They claim everyone will have enough, but the reality is that everyone but the ultra rich become very poor. 

At my hotel over breakfast the next morning, I was recognized by some in a group of 33 members of the LIBRE Institute who had driven down from Reno. They were raving about the event, which was quite empowering to all who attended. 

One of the empowering features of the event were bios on various figures in our nation's history, such as Neil Armstrong, Frederick Douglas, and Rev. Dr. John Witherspoon, who I portray. 


There was a bubbling joy that could be felt last night as people could speak without self-censorship or fear of being sent to the verbal gulag.

The October 7 attack in 2023 was on Simchat Torah. That's just after the Feast of Sukkot, and the final day of that festival is Hoshana Rabbah, the Great Hosannah. So, on the heels of a great rejoicing the enemies of the Lord's Chosen People attacked them. As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained “the darkest day in Israel’s history” to the United Nations: 


These Hamas monsters, they slaughtered Holocaust survivors. They burned babies alive in front of their parents. They beheaded our men. They brutally raped our women, and then they murdered them. Altogether, they slaughtered 1,200 Israelis that day.

Despite New York City’s Marxist Muslim Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s campaign promise to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as soon as he landed, the Prime Minister successfully spoke at the United Nations on September 24.
