Rev. Joyce Swingle completed her Master's of Arts in Counseling at the Alliance Graduate School of Counseling in May 2009. She received her Master's in Professional Studies from Alliance Theological Seminary in May 2004.

 

Rev. Swingle has been an Associate Pastor at Westchester Chapel Church of the Nazarene since the year 2000, and lead pastor since 2011. There she preaches and teaches, in addition to leading the prayer and counsel ministries. At WCCC, Rev. Swingle has conducted small group and leadership training and has run seminars on topics ranging from financial responsibility to marriage and relationship issues.

 

She portrayed Mrs. Lehman in the film Indescribable and she performed her own one-woman play "The Shepherd's Daughter" in the Shepherds' Cave of Bethlehem. She has preached around the country and in Malaysia, Israel and Taiwan.

 

She has also served as a chaplain with Marketplace Chaplains USA providing supportive counseling and educational services to corporate women of all ages on topics ranging from workplace stressors to home/life balance to career counseling.

 

Rev. Swingle has also served as Director of Pastoral Counseling for the Christian performing arts festival MasterWorks to clients ranging in age from 17 to the mid-60's. At MasterWorks, she conducted seminars on relationships and sexual healing issues and worked with clients on issues ranging from sexual abuse recovery to performance anxiety.

 

Rev. Swingle, who earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Northwestern University, spent more than 20 years in corporate America, working in the publishing industry for magazines such as NewsweekTimePeople and Fortune. She left her position as a Vice President for BusinessWeek magazine in 2006 to pursue her call to counsel.
